My wife and I have been visiting the park for many years. The people are great and very helpful we enjoy going up there very much.
Our friends recommended this place and we’re so glad they did! There are very few places to stay in Phoenix if you are under 55 years old. We were having trouble finding a spot last minute during the busy season and when our friends mentioned Pleasant Harbor had affordable dry camping, we jumped at the opportunity. Overall we had a great stay and everyone was super friendly (especially Val and Jeff). The laundry facilities were affordable and clean and we made good use of the showers. All in all, we would definitely stay here again in the future. It was super safe, beautiful location and easy to get into the city. Thank Pleasant Harbor!
We love it here. Have been staying here for almost a month dry camping. They have beautiful shower facilities, nice sized pool and hot tub. Nice laundry mat, little convince store. Always have activities in the club house. Great place in the middle of the desert, but not to far from city life as well.
We take our RV out to Lake Pleasant a few times a year. The spaces are large and offer full hook-ups. If those are sold out they do have temp locations that have water and power. Their last option is dry camping and they have a ton of it. The resort is well kept and they have an on- site convenience store. They have free wi-fi and our RV antenna works great out there. Depending on the time of year, you will see donkeys roaming the park. While they are wild, they are cute to look at! They do have Dillon’s Bayou for food and drinks down on the lake. They have a volunteer shuttle system to get you down there and back. These hard working folks work for tips to we are always sure to take cash with us.
We stayed here as long as they’d let me book and we would stay again, I would glad to get 17 days even. Huge dirt lots with fence around the parameter, nice dog area, pool and amenities! Laundry room was remodeled during our stay, can’t speak to the restrooms as we didn’t use them. Our spot was across from the bball, pool, nice corner lot. R the resort was about 30 min to our family in Phoenix, 17 min to closest Fry’s, plenty of others stores within a short drive. Everyone we ran into was very kind! Only thing I’d rate is access, for some reason Google maps has you turn onto the road before the entrance (to a closed entrance) and it was very not ideal to turn around with a 36 ft 5th wheel.
Beautiful Vista
Very large park with many different levels of camping experiences. From dry camping to full on glamping ! I stayed at Vista Pt. Dry camp. The views were beautiful. I stayed 10 days and as a single women I felt very safe. Security makes it’s rounds and you can’t get into the park after leaving without your pass. The one thing I would mention the drive up to the PT is rather steep, but there were different sized rigs up there is it is doable. I didn’t use the amenities as I was away most days visiting with my daughter who lives in the valley.
Great escape outside Phoenix
Reserved 7 days at Lake Pleasant RV to get familiar with my new camper. Chose the dry site “Vista Point” and at first was a little weary but was pleasantly surprised how many others were doing the same. The views from my spot were pretty epic. Relaxed and fished off the shoreline. Going to have to revisit after doing more research on the fishing here. They do have port a pottys which were actually clean. The convenience store was a cool feature saving me from having to drive 20min to get some drinks. Dillons restaurant smelled delicious but I packed too much food to not cook it up. Didn’t really run into anyone not friendly or in a good mood. I’ll definitely be back here.
Nice, roomy sites! Loved hearing the donkeys at night!
We had a back-in site that was nice & level. We stayed 4 nights & enjoyed the gorgeous setting sun views! We had dinner down on the pier at Dillons! Fabulous food & great service! Laundry was very clean as was the grounds. Staff was kind & very helpful! We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.
LOVE THIS AREA
We love the Lake Pleasant Area. LP Harbor is nice because it has true full hook-up sites with their own dumps. It is away from the lake, but it is a very nice RV Park and we will stay here again. Note: There is primitive camping on the other side of the lake with electric/water only sites that are right on (just above) the water that look out over the lake. They are awesome and cheaper but: if you have pets the coyotes are daytime active and there are many of them on the other side and you MUST watch your pets or they WILL get taken/killed/eaten. On the LP Harbor side, while there are coyotes, they don’t seem to wander into the park. which is completely surrounded b a chain link fence. We did have some wild burros nearby, and heard the coyotes at night (wonderful). Great amenities, too! We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Great park right at Pleasant Harbor.
This is a beautiful, clean park. Its walking distance to both the north and south ramps where our dog loved going swimming. There is a shuttle that will take you to the pier or you can walk there. This place has all the amenities right within the park beautiful large swimming pool/hot tub, general store, clubhouse, pickle ball, basketball, large dog park and the pier has a restaurant (good food)/bar and offers boat, paddleboard, kayak rentals and cruises. We went on a sunset cruise with live music and it was fantastic! I would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Hidden gem
This park was an awesome surprise! It has very clean, level, large lots with good utilities. The amenities included a pool, store, laundry, picnic area and dog park. Adjacent is a marina with watercraft.to rent and a restaurant. This park also has a shuttle you can use to get to the marina. Beautiful views and friendly staff. Close to shopping. I would come back here again when in Phoenix. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
